Lucy is credited with starting the original women's polo team at University of Edinburgh in 2000-2001. She finishes her uni career in 2008 with a PhD in linguistics and will be relocating to Hong Kong.
Though statistics haven't been kept throughout, Lucy likely was the leading scorer many of the seasons and surely would hold the career scoring record. She is excellent in pit, on defense and from the outside and played on numerous All Scottish Universities Celtic Nations teams. She also was one of the top players for Scotland at the 2006 Commonwealth games and notched a hat trick in the fifth-place game versus South Africa. She also enjoyed matching up against the Australians even though the game was lobsided she felt "I could match them one-on-one". It is her usual modesty and encouragement of teammates and love of the game which helped build the team and she will be sorely missed. |
