Tough end to a successful run in BUSA
The Women's team made their second final in a row, but could only manage fourth place as they failed to conquer their opponents.
However, it was clear from the first game against eventual champion Cardiff that Edinburgh deserved to be in the finals. Succumbing only 6-3 Edinburgh fought well but didn't have quite enough scoring power.
Unfortunately the squad could not maintain their strong play losing to Loughborough 16-3, a mixture of not matching up well and losing a key player for much of the game. The final match saw Manchester win 10-3.
One particularly bright spot of the tournament was the play of goalkeeper Jen Bush who many remarked may have been the best keeper of the tournament despite only learning to play keeper this season in emergency relief. The 6'1" Bush has shown that not only does her size and athleticism help make her a good keeper, but also her stubborn will to not let balls get past her!
